Our Role

FPS Ophthalmic Services are responsible for the payment of community ophthalmic practitioners, and the maintenance of the statutory Ophthalmic List. A wide range of information is also provided to Boards, the professions and the Health and Social Services Executive. Other areas of responsibility include the inspection of new or improved community ophthalmic premises and servicing the statutory Ophthalmic Committee.
